We’re constantly looking for ways to promote our website. God knows we almost had a party when we learned that our page rank had increased from two to three! Not only did we post about it but Margot woke me from a cold sleep at 6:00AM to tell me the news.
I could have killed her.

It’s bizarre how the whole idea of press releases came up. I’m guessing it’s some guy who said I have some great news to tell the world but advertising is way too expensive. I think I’ll devise something to help me get exposure without having to pay to get the word out. Hmm…maybe I’ll call it “Press Release.” That has a nice ring!
When I worked as a Marketing Intern for a chemistry testing place I constantly wrote press releases and sent them away to publications in hopes that they would get published. A few did. However, I really didn’t know how to get the best out of press release optimization.

I just read this on Cnn.com/Oprah.com:
A study from the University of North Carolina found that women who got several hugs a day from their husbands had significantly lower blood pressure than those embraced less often. Another study using fMRIs showed women’s brains to be far less reactive to the threat of mild electrical shock when holding a loved one’s hand versus a stranger’s.

I must admit that the past few months I have been extremely board with the internet, worldwide web, and internet superhigh way. I keep thinking that there’s more out there and that Yahoo Spades and online speed just aren’t doing it for me.
In fact, I’ve even thought that since I started the web over twelve years ago that maybe I blew my load too early and can’t appreciate the smaller things in life like google and even RSS feeds.
Now, I’ve come across a personalized news website that lets me take charge. It adds a little excitement to my extremely boring life. Thoof.com puts the OOF back into it!
Initially, on the website you’ll see a listing of articles. Some of them are interesting and some of them aren’t. You can click on the ones you find interesting and then you can actually “grade” it interesting or improve.
It’s a good way to have an impact on the internet and contribute to good and bad journalism!

When we started this website a few years ago we had no idea what we were doing! We used a template and prayed each time that our posts and pictures would show up!
We’ve tapped into a little web design but not enough to write a whole code of HTML!
