When I worked in healthcare we used to work with so many different vendors. The one that I still see quite often around town is the vending machine owner! He’s this guy that is in his 80’s and he always has a pocket full of change!
When you think of it vending machines make a killing! Not only is the mark-up between price and product about 75% but it’s a cash operation! Which of course means that you can make a little bit more money than if it were all on paper!
Now with multivend it’s easy for average Joe’s like you and me to get started in the vending business.
BeTheBoss.com is a great website that allows you to see all of the different ways that you can franchise yourself to make money, work your own hours, and have your own business!
It’s all up to you!

Today I finally got the letter from the bank stating that we had paid off our line of credit. Of course, they need that at our credit union in order to give us the equity line of credit.
At this point I really wish we could have gone with one of the personal loans that we reviewed. This whole process has been pretty lengthy and I’m glad that we didn’t wait to get the money in hand from the loan or else we wouldn’t have been able to start the IVF treatment for another three months!
When looking at loans we really made sure to do our homework and go for the loan that was going to be the best for us in the long run.
One great website that offers tons of information on loans and financial comparing is Thriftyscot.co.uk. It is easy to use and has great articles too.
Hopefully, our next loan will be a home improvement loan to build a new room for the newest addition to our family!

That’s exactly what real estate is! We’ve always thought about buying rental properties as an investment. However, when it came down to it we were scared that we wouldn’t know what we’re doing and end up with a pile of crappy apartments that were unloaded on us!
Asheville Real Estate and Charlotte Real Estate have always been some great ways to make money and invest. I’m guessing they have the same situation that we have here in Ithaca, plus the benefits of a big city. Both towns are college towns and seem to be pretty transient.
You can actually compare mortgage rates and get an idea of what type of rate you can get for an investment property. The trick is to really work through everything and figure out if real estate is the right option for you!

Every day I have been running out to the mailbox to see if we have received the check from Citibank to pay for our upcoming IVF refund program. I have three more days to get it before it will be too late and I’ll have to wait two months to start up a cycle.
At this point I’m getting pretty anxious because if the check is just one day late then it could cause me to lose these precious summer months.
Not to mention, I’ve gotten my hopes up and I’m so ready to move forward to the next step.
I figure at this point if I don’t get the check in the mail then I can tell the Office Manager that I can put it on credit card or she can wait a few days and take the check. The reality is … they’re somewhat money hungry and when I use my credit card they get charged a good 4-5% of the total amount. That is a lot of money when we’re talking about $20,000!
I have a feeling if I put it like that — she might wait patiently for the check.
