The whole family has been going to bed with me. Last night was a late night and we didn’t get to bed til 9:30pm. This morning the alarm clock didn’t go off and we all woke up late at 7:00am!
I had to be to work at 7:30am which means we had a mad scramble to get dressed and everyone out of the door. Margot actually had to feed, dress, and drop off Graem.
Tomorrow it looks like we’re back on track and I’ll be home with Graem. I have a chiro appointment in the morning and in the afternoon I have three different places coming out for furnace estimates.
Ugh.

I’ve been taking a couple of days off from posting because I just haven’t been feeling too hot. I have all day nausea and of course many times that’s followed by a good ole’ run to the toilet.
Plus, I’ve been subbing.
Today I’m subbing elementary music and on my lunch break.
Tuesday I subbed high school math and that was a breeze because I had a student teacher that taught all of the classes!
The latest news is that our furnace has two cracks in our exchanger and so we’re in the process of not using it (since it releases carbon monoxide) and getting quotes for a new furnace.
We have two quotes that have come in so far - one for $4,000 and the other for $3,400. YIKES.
I guess you’ll see me doing more blogging in the upcoming months!

I’m sitting here at the Border’s cafe and I can’t stay awake! I keep dozing off and I woke myself up snoring!
Last night I slept really good but of course I was up every hour to go to the bathroom. Margot even let me sleep in today and took Graem to daycare.
Of course, I woke up right before they left because we have what appears to be septic issues. I called the plumber and the septic guy and both deny any problems until crap is literally backed up in the house.
Our worry is that there seems to be a warm spot on the grass where frost didn’t occur and Margot has this idea that it’s either clogged up or a septic pipe has burst.
I think I’m scared to go home.

Our living room needs a serious overhaul. Our rug has stains on it from kids and the animals have picked it to death.
Our television is starting to get dim corners and I’m afraid that our home theatre system has bit the dust a few times and keeps coming back to life.
I guess if I’m dreaming I should think of an upstairs family room with discount home theater seating, a sweet new big screen television, and those tiny speakers that sound amazing.

Before we moved into our house the good ole man that owned it had the house hired a remediation company to come and put footer drains around the house so that the basement wouldn’t leak.
Thank God, we’ve only had one instance that we’ve had water in our basement due to rain.
Many people that live in New York and the Long Island area rely on AmericanWaterProofing.net for their New York mold removal!
In fact, they have a 1-800 number and they even offer a transferrable lifetime warranty. Not only is that perfect for you — but it really adds value to your house if you ever wanted to sale it in the future.
Say “goodbye” to a moldy and wet basement and “hello” to piece of mind!
