Yesterday I decided to go out and take on a golf game with my friend Jill. She picked me up and we decided to go to Trumansburg Golf Course. We also decided that since the weather was so nice, we were already there, and the prices were cut we’d try to do 18 holes of golf.
The first few holes were pretty brutal for me. I ended up hitting the ball a few feet ahead of me each time and I really was thinking that I should have walked the course since I was just walking it from ball to ball!
Then my friend, Jill, reminded me not to hit it like a softball but to use my wrists more on my irons.
That seemed to do the trick. At least when I hit the ball — I hit it!
I had some really good drives and I’m even getting the hang of using my irons. I did a pretty good job for golfing under 20 games in my whole life and not golfing in over 2 years!
Just if I would have started at a young age…I’d be on the LPGA golf tour right now!

My friend Jill wrote an email over the week and ask if anyone wanted to go golfing. I initially thought I probably couldn’t go because I assumed Margot would be working for the day.
The weather is great and I think we’re just going to go to the local course and do nine holes.
It’s been so long since I’ve been golfing. Even if I don’t have a good game…at least I have the cool gear and can look the part!

This weekend I rented the Wii game Shrek Three. It was a pretty enjoyable experience, however, I should have waited til we watched the movie to actually play it! I finished the game yesterday after spending about 10 hours total with it.
Sunday we watched Shrek Three and Graem was good for half of the movie. The other half she talked constantly and had to go to the potty about five times. Towards the end we were ready to beat her and had to carry her out of the theatre screaming.
To say the least — we’re Shrek’d out!

When we were in Cancun, Mexico over the past week I was shocked to see how popular Backgammon and Chess were. On more than on occassion we saw people playing! The reality is Backgammon is really an international game for all ages and ethnic groups to enjoy!
That’s why I was really excited to hear that BackGammonMasters has opened offices in Central America!
Gammonish.com is an awesome website that has just about everything you need to know to learn or play backgammon! The website is noted as the “Official Game Bible”! Not only do they have information on the history, rules, and set-up of the game but it also discusses strategies.
You can download the backgammon software to your computer and start playing instantly.
I love websites that help you from a beginner player to an advanced player. Not to mention, you can also enroll in tournaments online and play people around the world!
I never realized there are so many different startegies to backgammon such as: luck and skill, probability charts, dice probability laws, equities, opening moves and replies.
Wow…this is actually pretty interesting and I can see something like this replacing my online speed and spades addiction.

The good thing about being a corporate executive is that you get to go to some great golf tournaments and they are all expenses paid! Over the years I’ve become a pretty good golfer and I always bring home the prize for “Women’s Longest Drive.”
Of course, I have a weakness for putting and I’m not too good with irons either. Okay, that’s two thirds of the game.
Really…I’m not that good.
That’s why I should probably look into getting the golf handicap software offered by nethandicap.com.
I can actually enter my scores online at NetHandicap.com and receive a USGA Handicap Index. They are now offering a free trial membership!
Improve your game - get a handicap!
