Unfortunately, when growing up I didn’t pick up too many recipes from my family. Which of course, meant when I got older and had to start cooking for myself I had to learn from scratch.
There are very few things that I consider a “good cook” when making. I can make good Indian food but have to use the mix and some of my special ingredients.
But the one thing that I’m really good at is French/Egg toast! I like to crack the eggs, put in brown sugar, cinammon, and milk. Then mix them together. Drop the bread in and let it sit in there til it gets soggy.
Then cook it on med/high heat for a few minutes each side.
I like my egg toast really eggy and thick.
This recipe also works really good with French bread too!

Tonight I decided to open up a box for our dinner. I had purchased a Banquet - biscuit, chicken, and mashed potato dinner a few weeks ago and it’s been sitting on our counter.
It was relatively easy to put together and I popped it into the oven for 30 minutes.
The damn thing was so salty we could barely eat it.
Of course, after the meal I had to call banquet and those bastards and sending me a coupon for the exact same thing.
Gee, thanks.
Just what I wanted. Heartattack in a box.

Today we had one of the Freshetta - all wheat, square, deluxe pizzas. I figured the wheat would be better for us when I bought it at the grocery store and I didn’t think the taste would be affected that much.
Boy, was I wrong!
There’s never been a pizza I didn’t like - until today! The pizza was dry, tasteless, and lacked any substance! The cheese was barely sprinkled on the top of the pizza and there were like 5 pepperonis on the whole thing.
It’s a good thing the box has been recycled or else I’d be on the phone getting a free pizza coupon right now!

Write now I’m posting and I can barely keep my eyes open! It’s been a long day and I’ll try to recap as easily as I can without falling asleep.
We had a pretty restless night sleep last night since Margot was snoring like crazy.
Then we woke up this morning at 7am and the family was out of the house by 10:30 and off to the outlet malls in New Jersey. Margot took one group and I took the other group. I drove Margot’s dad’s new Lexus. It was a nice ride…but not much different from my good ole’ Toyota!
We bought some stuff for Grammy, toys, underwear, and some shorts for Margot. My group of people were the faster movers and were were in and out of stores in no time.
Margot’s on the other hand. HA! She had the slow movers.
When we came home another group of people wanted to go to the grocery and liquor store. So of course, I took them.
Dinner was yummy and we ate some rolls filled with bamboo and some tomato stew with pork. Really yummy.
Tonight I picked up Jimmy. He seems like a really nice guy and of course his plane was late at JFK and it was hard to hang out in the loading zone without getting busted.
Okay…I’m exhausted, full, and tired of driving! Plus, I’ve got to get to bed before Margot comes up and starts snoring away.

This morning Margot went and put some hours in at work since we’re going to be leave Thursday for family reunion.
She came back at 10am and then she took Grammy to the Trumansburg playground for a few minutes.
We went for a yummy and expensive lunch at Thai Cuisine. We had just about everything the guys offered at Dim Sum. Quite embarassing.
We’ve found the cutest Chinese guy there who would be the perfect donor. Of course, we would never have the balls to ask him!
After lunch we went geocaching for the afternoon. We were able to find one and then one with the help from Kim, Margot’s friend.
We got home at 3:00 or so and ended up taking a nap — FOR THREE HOURS!
