Either tomorrow or Monday will be 18 weeks. I’m feeling huge and I have major hip pain. Other than that…I’m a happy girl.
Also…I’ve gotten my appetite back times twelve. Seriously, I feel like I can eat any hot-dog-eating-champion out of business.
Things at home have been busy. We are still trying to finish up the kitchen. It’s the project that just keeps going, and going, and going. It sucks. Three months later… Hardwood has been ordered. I picked up the slate tiles today for the entry way. Hopefully, I’ll call Monday and they’ll have some slabs in stock for me to come and check out. The flooring people are ready to start once their goodies get in.
This weekend Margot and me are trying to nail out painting the kitchen and trim. TOday we did some sanding and patching. THen when we were ready to do the trim realized…we have no trim paint. So I had to make a second run to Home Depot.

Wow..it’s been a long time since I’ve checked in.
It seems like my belly has become somewhat pointed. Weird, I know?! It’s super high and points at the top.
I’ve gained about 2 pounds and it seems like it’s all in the front. I feel good!
I have felt some bubbles here and there. The midwife said since the placenta is in the front I might not feel movement as soon. I’m guessing that’s why I haven’t felt any real movement like I did with Emmy. Plus Emmy was a wild woman in there!
The next ultrasound is August 2nd and we’re going to the perinatolgoist to check out the baby’s heart since I have a heart defect. THe next day we have a midwife appointment.

Wow…I haven’t update in a few weeks. NOthing much is going on, to be honest.
I feel like weight wise and belly wise I’ve stabilized. Haven’t gotten any bigger and haven’t gained any weight.
I’m eating like crazy and my favorite food is pickles. Big fat ones.
We have another ultrasound in 2 more weeks and I can’t wait to see the little bean. I listen to her every night and morning and the thump thump is so reassuring!

This morning we went for our midwife appointment. I was a little nervous about how it was going to go. We walked into the ultrasound room and I started to explain to the tech about the reduction, etc. Then she stopped me and very nicely said that she understood and had read my chart. Phew. So good.
We asked to not see the screen when she was scanning Baby B and C. That went quickly.
She then zoomed in on Baby A. She was perfect. She had some long legs in one picture. The other picture shows her backside and I can see that she has the same high crack as me. Hooray. The other photo shows her big ole’ belly, head, and hands.
She looked great and measured 14w3d and had a heartbeat of 150bpm.
I then peed in a cup.
After that we met with midwife, KE. She was really nice. I had talked to her a year or so before about a plugged duct when I was weaning Emmy. She answered all of our questions and no physical examination was needed this time around.
We go back for a level II ultrasound in Syracuse August 2nd and back for a midwife appointment August 3rd.
