Well, I have been horrible at updating since the whole process. Went in for retrieval Monday and they only got 8 eggs. I was pretty disappointed.
Then I got the call this morning that out of the 8 only 7 were mature - 3 were good. And only 3 fertilized.
So….today….this morning….I had 3.
I’ll go in Thursday morning for a transfer and hopefully those same three will still be growing.
we will have a new kitchen!
I’m pretty excited and really can’t wait to get it all finished. I’ve even thought about looking at computer cabinets so that we can have a small work station off of the kitchen.
Right now we’re going to knock down a wall and then do a nice granite countertop and breakfast nook. It should be great when it’s finished and really give us more space.
It’s all just a pretty concept right now!
and my estrogen is 458. I’m quite happy with the number. I went in for an ultrasound and have around 21 follicles. All of them are pretty even at around 9.9mms. Good growth! They want to keep me on the same meds.
I had to call the pharmacy and get 5 more vials of meds ordered. $375. Shit. Those damn pharma companies are making a killing off of the infertilies.
Emmy’s birthday is coming up soon and I have not figured out what we’re doing. More than likely we’ll do something at home and invite a few of her friends from school.
I had a friend who was looking for a mother birthday gift and was able to find some beautiful things online. Plus, she ordered a bouquet of flowers that were delivered first thing in the morning.
I wish I could get my act together. I forget most dates and can’t even send a lousy card.
Last night I started my first night of injections. I’m doing the same protocol I was on when I got pregnant with Emmy. I figured it worked once … it might just work again!
I also got the report from my last retrieval. I had 21 eggs - 10 good, 5 fair, 2 bad, and 4 discarded. Out of that I had 7 embryos on day 3 and ONE EMMY in the end.
I don’t know how it’s all going to work. The nurse kept pointing out that I am 4 years older. Ugh.
I go for ultrasounds and bloodwork Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of next week. Then I might be doing my trigger next Saturday and retrieval 4/11.
This is going SUPER fast now.
