goes a long way!
Each day Margot looks at her portfolio. Some days I hear a “yahoo” while she sits at the computer and brings up our accounts. Other times I hear profanities! Lately, it’s been the latter.
We are constantly looking for new things to invest our money in. We thought about doing a rental house, but quite honestly, we are not sure we want to deal with tenants in the wee hours of the morning complaining about no heat!
We might consider looking at gold coins though! US Gold Bureau offers different ways you can invest in gold.
Our friend, L, swears by precious metals. At one point they were at an all time low and they have since gone through the roof the past few months. It’s still a good time to buy gold because I am pretty sure they haven’t reached their peak yet. Plus, I think we are probably on the upswing of the recession.
Instead of having gold stored in the house - we would probably be more interested in IRAs. Margot gets her SEP contribution in a few weeks and has to figure out what investments she wants to take part in.
I am sure when we get ready to retire - there’s going to be no such thing. Already, we’re pushing the mark and many of the people that I know who reach the age tend to pass away shortly after they retire.
That’s why when I go back to work we are really going to start saving like crazy for our retirement. God knows there is not going to be social security money available and even there was it would only be pennies a month!
Then there’s the thousands of dollars a month that we would have to spend on health insurance…

So I’m a pretty religious watcher of “Top Chef”. This year is no different. I really like Tiffany and thinks that she makes some pretty good food. I really don’t like Angelo. I think he’s a poser and his food isn’t that good.
Of course, the downfall of watching “Top Chef” is that I tend to make a few trips to the fridge and that doesn’t help with my girlish figure!

It’s been a long week.
I was a little worried because I didn’t have much work lined up for the week. It’s just been slow. I don’t know if it’s been due to the fact that the housing market has slowed down and so the demand for surveys has slowed down too.
It’s been nice that it’s been a little slower though. I’ve been able to spend some good time with the kids, paint the house, and get a little bit more organized!
It’s been a tough transition starting back and dealing with Emmy’s daycare, her therapies, and my mindset that I’m trying to work and be at home. I’m going to start working three days a week which I think will be the perfect balance because I’ll be able to get all of my work done in those days and won’t have to spend 12 hours on Tuesday and Thursday cramming in work.

I just realized that my portfolio is in some serious danger. The markets have been crashing and despite making some wise investments I am still losing money.
I’m on the lookout for for a good investment!
I’m talking about one of the oldest assets available today - gold! We have a friend who is constantly looking for a good time to buy bullion ! She likes to invest during the low times!
Gold and Silver retain their value through the years and because they are in such demand you can be guaranteed that they are an amazing investment.
With US Gold Bureau you can be assured that your money and investments are in good hands. They have been in the business of selling Gold, Silver, and other fine metals for over one hundred years. They are the industry leader and can guide you to the right product for your investment needs.
The great thing about Silver and Gold is that you don’t have to worry about the value. It’s demand is always higher than it’s supply which makes it a wanted commodity. Not to mention, it’s not something that you can lose with one bad day on Wall Street.
It’s the perfect idea if you’re looking for something to diversify your portfolio with.

We have been trying to nail out painting the outside of the house. For the longest time it was white polka-dots around the sides. Talk about white trash? OH yeah, baby!
Today I’ve been working on the trim. It’s in pretty bad shape because it’s peeling and to be honest I could spend weeks just chipping paint. Then I have the same rotted boards.
SOOOO, I’m trying to pick at the loose flakes and then I just paint right over it!
I figure at some point we’re going to change it over to vinyl and it’s just a matter of getting it through the next few years!
