Right now we’re waiting on our friend Dave so that him and Margot can start up the bathroom project. Today the goal is to run the plumbing and work on the subfloor.
Beats the hell out of me what all of that man talk is…but I think we might have a fixture and a level floor by the end of the day.

Emmy’s birthday is right around the corner and I am looking for some good deals. We got her one of the play kitchens and I think I’d like to get her the Melissa and Doug fruits and vegetables, the pizza, the pots and pans, and the ice cream cone set.

I must admit that I’ve been on a roll when it comes to the house and haven’t had too much free time to blog.
The basement is looking good! I painted the walls, book cases, and right now I’m patching the floors and tonight/this evening I plan on painting the floors.
Then tomorrow I would like to patch up paint, apply second coat, and start on changing outlets out.
Once it’s finished it’s going to be such a great space and I’ll feel like we have a good place when people visit us to put them up!
We decided when we moved that we were not going to get our phone hooked up in the house. Essentially, we were paying around $30 every month for the Red Cross to call us and invite us to the local blood drive.

So today I thought I’d tackle painting the bookcases in the basement. I had this small idea that I would spraypaint them and it’d be done within 30 minutes. After I’d probably pass out from the fumes but it would be fast, easy, and cheap.
WRONG.
Spray paint goes on uneven and after doing one board I bailed on that idea.
Can I just tell you what a pain in the ass it is to hand paint these bookshelves?
