These days the I have been feeling quite a bit of anxiety. The house is torn apart and despite our best efforts I feel like it is never going to get finished!
Plus, I really have not taken the much needed “me” time. Either it’s the house, or dinner, or the kids.
I think I might invest in a Singing Bowl. Many of my friends who meditate and do yoga have one and they are truly all the rave.
SilverSkyImports.com offers a great variety of items that not only help you relax and find inner peace - but they are also running a spring sale where you can get %15 off right now!

We’re headed to see my cousin, her husband, my beautiful nephews, and my Uncle and Aunt this weekend! I’m totally excited.
I haven’t ever met the boys and we’ve been talking about it for years. Finally, Kerry and I have made a plan and it looks like the time has come!
We’re leaving Thursday at noon and hope to be in late Thursday night. The Mapquest says it’s probably going to take about 7 1/2 hours but with two little ones I’m guessing it might be more like 9 hours or so.
I’ll try to post updates and pictures when we get there!

When I was in high school I was a very avid church-goer. In fact, I went every time they had church available! Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings! Then there was church camp, bible studies, and retreats.
I had such a great time and to this day I still hold precious some of the friends that I made through my church group.
It is funny to keep in touch because we have all gone our different ways and we are all over the United States! Jeaniie is married and living in Houston. Her husband is a youth minister and she has three beautiful kids.
Shannon is going to Harvard and will be graduating any day now. She is planning on going to South Africa for a stint and I’m not sure what plans are after that. She’s single and will probably remain that way!
Then there is me… upstate New York, living with Margot, and two kids!
Although I don’t go to church anymore I still consider myself a believer. I believe in God. I believe in Jesus and I don’t feel like I really need to be around others to have those ideas.
However, I was interested when I came across Body Gospel.
I think many times people are looking for a Christian Workout and tend to look to the wrong places. Perhaps they look towards negative things. But many good people look to normal things in life for the answers without reaching out.
Body Gospel is a workout for Christians that incorporates the message from 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - Your body is a temple and you are called to take care of it.
With Body Gospel Donna Richardson incorporates the spiritual and physical aspect of loving the Lord. Not only will you give thanks but your body will be thanking you for treating it better and giving it the much needed workout it needs and deserves!

This weekend was totally a time suck.
Remember how I was writing the optimistic post Saturday morning? Well that day went to hell in a handbasket!
Dave came over to help Margot and Susan and I left with the kids.
I was called at around 2pm and told that there was a hole in a pipe and that the basement had flooded out.
Yes, the same basement that I had put so much time and effort into painting and rehabbing THE DAY BEFORE. Frick.
So they run out and the get replacement pipe and all is well with the world. We have a nice little get together with the gang that evening. All of a sudden someone goes to use the bathroom and the toilet doesn’t go down.
We try unclogging it and nothing.
Then the toilet overflows and again….into my basement.
SOOOOOOOOOO, we end up staying at our friend’s house overnight while house is leaking water everywhere.
Sunday morning Dave and Margot rent an electric 50 foot snake and are able to get what they think is the clog. It makes two swoosh noises and they think they’re done.
WRONG.
I go down there later in the afternoon (after they had returned the snake) and there’s shit water in the utility sink. At first I thought that maybe there was a clog…but oh no, shit water was coming out of the sink.
Gross.
So, we give in and call DrainBrain. They were very good and came within 10 minutes. It was Sunday and so we got nailed with the overtime charge and $300 later and 30 minutes the guy was able to fish out a handful of wet wipes.
Yes, someone had clogged our system by disposing of wetwipes.
Unfortunately, nothing got done Sunday and we figure at some point we’ll try this weekend over minus the poo water, $300 plumber, and wet wipes.

I just realized that my portfolio is in some serious danger. The markets have been crashing and despite making some wise investments I am still losing money.
I’m on the lookout for for a good investment!
I’m talking about one of the oldest assets available today - gold! We have a friend who is constantly looking for a good time to buy gold bullion! She likes to invest during the low times!
Gold and Silver retain their value through the years and because they are in such demand you can be guaranteed that they are an amazing investment.
With US Gold Bureau you can be assured that your money and investments are in good hands. They have been in the business of selling Gold, Silver, and other fine metals for over one hundred years. They are the industry leader and can guide you to the right product for your investment needs.
The great thing about Silver and Gold is that you don’t have to worry about the value. It’s demand is always higher than it’s supply which makes it a wanted commodity. Not to mention, it’s not something that you can lose with one bad day on Wall Street.
It’s the perfect idea if you’re looking for something to diversify your portfolio with.
