A Tale of Two Mamas

Trying to keep someone IN timeout

Rate my slot!

My friends, Jason and Jason, just got back from Las Vegas! They did a little gambling and in the end donated all of their winnings to charity!

In the spirit of Vegas they downloaded slot games on their iphones too!

I’ve never tried on line slots and so I don’t know the first thing about it. I can imagine there are a lot of different websites out there.

I came across CasinoGamblingIndex.com recently and it seems to be a pretty good website where they list many of the top gambling websites and then rate them!

This could be a very dangerous thing!

Slow moving.

I’ve hit a bump in the road. My body aches and I have a living room that needs a second coat of paint and a door to be hung. Not to mention, I have a hallway that needs to match and six more doors waiting to be hung!

I know I’m not in a race but I really just want one room to get done.

After I finish blogging today I’m going to try to tackle the second coat. I put Emmy down for nap and I’ve just got to finish it.

So much easier said than done…

I like to move it, move it.

With all of this house renovating you would think that I’d lose weight. WRONG.

Right now I’m sitting here with a powdered donut and a big mug of creamy coffee. YUM.

Maybe if I got a treadmill and put it in the basement I’d be a little more likely to work out.

Then again, I’d probably end up using it to dry clothes on like the million other owners of treadmills and workout equipment.

A little March madness

Last night we had the gang over for a little basketball. We ordered pizza, drank beer, and somewhat forgot about the game!

Cornell’s game didn’t come on til 10pm and after watching 10 minutes of the game and both teams sucking I decided it wasn’t worth losing sleep over! So I went to bed.

At 12:30 in the morning I woke up and checked online to find out that Cornell lost and I won my bet. I can’t wait to eat my juicy steak dinner!

Real Estate Tax Benefit!

We absolutely love our new house!

It was the perfect timing and we feel that we got a great deal and couldn’t have asked for a better situation. Plus, we’re really happy that our house sold FULL PRICE in a matter of four days!

One incentive for us to get the show on the road a little faster than we had planned was the real estate tax benefit!

Since we’re not first time homebuyers but had our older house for longer than eight years we were eligible for the $6,500 tax credit!

Now Margot just has to file her taxes so that we can spend that money on our new kitchen!

When we were negotiating the house we figured that the tax credit would help us afford a house that might have been a little bit out of our price range. Or in our case, the house was well within our price range but needs quite a bit of work and updates.

This video talks a little bit about the tax credit and you can get an idea if you qualify.

The problem in the Ithaca Real Estate market is that there just aren’t enough good, quality houses on the market!

I’m so glad that it all worked out the way it did and we got a great house plus a nice little tax credit!
