With getting older comes issues. I get it. Really.
But I’m not ready to climb in the grave yet!
I’ve been working on trimming down a bit. (You wouldn’t believe it after seeing me pig out at Indian buffet). But I’ve been trying to eat less and move just a little bit more.
I’ve also been a little bit more aware about the physical aspect and trying to clean up my appearance a little bit. There’s going to come a day when I am not just the stay at home mom but when I am going to have to go back to work!
I’ve looked at different skincare products and really haven’t found anything that would work in repairing the damage that the sun has done. I also had pretty bad acne as a teenager.

We just got back from a four year old birthday party. It seems like every week Graem is invited to a birthday party! The older kids are doing drop off parties and they’re great! You drop off and then go for groceries, coffee, or a trip to Target.
This birthday was for one of the younger kids in the class - at his house. His mom just had a baby five days ago and there were a handful of children!
It was nice to talk with other parents and both kids had a great time running around their beautiful and historic house in Cayuga Heights.

With us trying to figure out the whole closing scenario of our old and new house we’ve had to also figure out the home insurance issue! We have to maintain home insurance on both locations if we take pre-posession and/or post posession.
I’ve shopped around for insurance quotes and honestly - I have no idea if we’re getting good rates.
I figure once we move and things have calmed down a bit that I’m really going to call around and look online to guarantee that we are getting the best deals out there.

This weekend we don’t have plans at all. What plans we did have - we’ve cancelled.
We still have a house to pack and have no idea when we might be closing. A little freaky to know that a week from now we could be in our new house.
Or not.
To say the least it’s wearing us down and we’re so exhausted physically after trying to pack and clean up that we’re ignoring or mental side too!
We just got back from dinner at L&L’s and plan on watching the rest of the movie that we started last night. Then we’re off to an early bedtime.
Hopefully, since we stayed out late tonight the kids will sleep in late tomorrow morning.
Yeah, right.

One of my favorite commercials on television is of the lady who is calling her cat to come inside, she’s not wearing her glasses, and instead of a cat coming inside - it’s a raccoon!
Marketing at it’s best. It makes me want to run to my nearest store and purchase eyeglasses!
However, we’ve been seeing our local guy for over a decade now. He used to own a store in college town but got fed up with it and moved to a little town outside of Ithaca. It takes us about 30 minutes to get there and the last time we were there he got so frustrated that we thought he was going to start throwing things.
We’re not beyond looking elsewhere for our glasses. Especially, if we know what style and size frame we want.
That’s why I’m glad I came across an online optical that manufactures their own brand of glasses. Zenni Optical takes pride in producing a good product at a reasonable price.
