A Tale of Two Mamas

Trying to keep someone IN timeout

Archive for 2009

Busy Sunday!

Today Graem has her recital for gymnastics. It should be fun since Margot really hasn’t been able to go to practice and see what she’s been working on!

After the recital Margot is going to take Graem to “The Princess and the Frog” movie! I’ll bring Emmy home and hopefully she’ll go down for a nap and I can catch up on photos, Christmas cards, and blogging!

Back to work?

I thought I had Emmy a spot at the local Montessori only to realize that they don’t have their act together and the owner is a complete loser who is extremely disorganized!

So, unless I get a job at a call center where I can work from home and they don’t mind screaming children it looks like I might be staying at home with Emmy for a little while longer!

I’m going to call around Monday and see if the center near Graem’s school has part-time openings.

Tree time!

Today we’re going to the local Christmas Tree farm to pick out our tree. It’s one of my favorite times of the year!

Before kids Margot and I would go out and search for hours for the perfect tree. We’d have a good time, come home pop open a beer and decorate the tree.

NOW….we let the kids pick out the tree. Last year we almost ended up with a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. You know the one that has three branches?

Luckily, I talked Graem out of it!

This morning we went downstairs and brought the Christmas bin out of storage. Emmy loved the singing Santa and Graem is very excited about getting the tree and decorating it.

Pictures to come!

Don’t grind those teeth!

Ever since I’ve been young I’ve had a teeth grinding problem. Over the past five years or so I’ve used a mouth guard that my doctor made for me. It cost around $125.

Just a few months back I went to get a new mouthguard and it was so thick that I kept gagging and so I went back to using my old mouthguard.

I was very happy when Dentek asked me to review their new dental mouth guard and they sent me one in the mail.

The mouthguard was easy to fit, just boil water, dip in, and put in your mouth for a while. The thing I like about it most is that it goes back far enough to prevent grinding but not too far where you start gagging.

I know you guys have missed…

the days when I used to do tons of blogging for money.

I made tons of videos one year and let me tell you … I looked back and was so damn embarrassed! To say the least I have tried to delete them all off the internet and my computer!

Well, times are tough and Santa needs some money! SO….I’m going back to doing some fun blogging opps and please don’t laugh too hard.
