A Tale of Two Mamas

Trying to keep someone IN timeout

Got bugs?

Every time we travel I am so paranoid about getting chiggers, bedbugs, or crabs.

The first thing I do is strip the bed from it’s comforter. Our friend who was in the hotel industry told us that they only wash the comforter once every six months. Ew.

Recently, I read about bedbugs and how they can hop on your suitcase and into your clothes. They’re nearly impossible to get rid of.

I was so happy when I was offered a chance to try a bed bug encasement product!

We took the bags with us on our Provincetown vacation and used them the full week. We initially had our bed items in one of the bags, towels, sheets, and pillows. Then in the other bags we put our suitcases.

It worked perfect! We were able to zip them up when not in use.

Before we left the hotel we just threw away the bags and we plan on buying new bags for our upcoming trips.

I’ve heard horror stories about bedbugs and trying to get rid of them! I’m so glad that I didn’t have to worry about it. BugZip is a proven and inexpensive way to keep bedbugs out!

I don’t know…

how I’ve become so bad at updating our website!

I think part of it is that I’m not on the computer these days. We’ve been out and about so much this summer.

Typically, I drop Graem off at gardening camp then I hang out for 3 hours til it’s time to pick her up. Then we come home and I feed the kids, and try to put Emmy down for a short nap.

By the time she wakes up it’s time for Margot to get home and I have to start dinner!

Hopefully, over the next few days I can work on the website and post some new photos…

WEEKEND.

Today I took the kids to the Strong Museum of Play. We had an amazing time and the kids were great. We enjoyed the ride with our friend, Deb, and her kids.

To say the least…I’m so ready for a weekend. Having two kids at home is hard work and I’m very ready for school to start again!

Not to mention, this house is a wreck and at least when I just have Emmy I’m able to do a little cleaning when she naps!

Trimmin’ down.

So the word’s out. We’re trying to trim down a bit around here. We both have to fit into wedding attire in the next few weeks and our Cape Cod vacation didn’t help out!

We’re looking for the best diet pills EVER. Maybe they’ll even taste like jelly beans?

But seriously, we’ve been talking about shedding pounds in the past but now we’re serious. We’re headed out to Los Angeles in October and I want to be HOT and SEXY.

SO TIRED.

It seems like we’re really not doing much over the weekend but we’re SO TIRED.

I think it is probably because SOMEONE (EMMY) wakes up at 6:15am every single morning ready to nurse and play.

Typically, Margot wakes up, goes downstairs to get her and brings her up to me and I nurse her while Margot has computer time.

Then Margot starts up breakfast and I try to get my last seconds of beauty rest.

What happened to having a baby that likes to sleep?

Didn’t we select that on our “baby order form”?
