A Tale of Two Mamas

Trying to keep someone IN timeout

Archive for April, 2009

Broken.

Margot and I both have horrible backs. Some nights we give each other backrubs followed by a maximum dose of ibuprofen.

At some point we realize we’re going to have to find ways to make our lives a little bit easier. We’ve considered a toilet seat riser!

It would be so wonderful to not have to sit all the way down on the toilet and only have to go down a foot instead of three. Remember, what goes down must also come up!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Allegro Medical has a great website full of every type of devise you could think of! They have wheelchairs, walkers, exam gloves, and my all time favorite - POWER SCOOTERS.

I promise…

that I will try to update the website at least once a week.

This has been the best journal of our lives and I feel like chaos has gotten the best of us and I’ve been horrible at posting pictures and updates.

Since Margot’s been putting in mad hours I’ve had to take Grammy to school in the morning and typically I’ll just make a day of it and not come back home.

That of course was when I used to do all of our website stuff.

SO TIRED.

I’m so whipped from this weekend. It seems like we spent most of it outside and since I’m not used to all of this sun and heat…I’m bushed. (No puns, please.)

We have tons of good television on DVR and nothing sounds better than nursing Emmy to sleep, taking a cold shower, and sitting my big ass on the couch.

Photos.

Can I just say how devastated I am that we might have lost all of our pictures?

What happened was that we kept all of our photos on an external drive.

One morning Margot woke up and that drive was fried. You couldn’t get to it at all and when Margot called the company all they could say was “Sorry, nothing we can do.”

Thank God Margot had backed up our information online. However, when we try to get the information to upload to our computer it seems to time out and not upload it in any order.

We have yet to finish the upload and it’s causing major grief in my life…

Seriously.

We’re busting out of here and going on a real vacation! We’re not just settling for P-town.

No way. We’ve decided that for Christmas break we’re looking at cancun vacations! You can get great rates and if you travel on Christmas day traveling is so easy!

We went to Cancun a few years ago and had such an awesome time. We were considering it over Spring Break but we couldn’t get our act together and then Margot was bombarded with tons of deadlines.

Karisma Hotels offers a great experience complete with amazing restaurants on-site, beautiful hotels, and did I mention fabulous Cancun beaches and SUN.

Cancun, take me away.
