The past few days have been BRUTAL. Little Emmy has been boycotting sleep and every fifteen minutes goes crazy if there’s not a boob in her mouth.
One of Margot’s friends just sent us a book on better habits for sleeping babies and we’re hoping that once we read it - it might give us ideas to help the situation!
Emmy’s 6 month appointment went great! She’s 26 3/4 inches long which puts her in the 90th percentile. Her weight actually only went up to 16lbs4oz. I was a little concerned that she wasn’t gaining weight appropriately - but she’s still above the 50th percentile for weight. It seems like she’s thinned out a little bit in the body and maybe even a little in the cheeks!
Here are just a few random photos:

When we were away in New York I must admit that I missed our house and my bed terribly! There was also a little voice in the back of my head that worried about the safety of everything.
I kept thinking about what would happen if our house were to catch on fire. Did I leave the oven on? Was the electricity secure?
Although, the crime rates in our area are almost zero it is the holidays and with the economy being so poor I know that crime and theft tend to peak. With that in mind - I also kept thinking that someone could easily sneak into our house and steal our belongings.
When I was a kid we always had a home health security system. It provided us with peace of mind when we weren’t at home. When we were at home we knew that we would be alerted if there were invaders.
ADT is a brand known for protecting assets and providing top notch security systems. If we were ever considering getting a system I’d make sure to go with the best - ADT.

We got back into town yesterday afternoon. We have two cars full of crap and have yet to unpack. We figure each night we’ll get a few loads and bring it into the house!
To say the least…we’re so happy to be back home. I’ve been horrible at taking photos and videos and I know I need to get better because we love looking back and seeing pictures of the kids.
I promise over the next few days we’ll post some good photos and give a better update.
Right now.we.must.vege-out.

Our laptop has been pretty behaved (knock on wood). Of course, we’re still doing backups on a daily basis so that we don’t lose all of our important information.
One thing we might want to do is look into flash memory. That way we can store our photos in a different place and not have to worry about losing them if we had a house fire.

So we’re quite the sight here…all four of us packed into a queen bed. We’re so squiched that I find myself hugging the edge and the two kids in between us!
Of course, the mattress is much to be desired - it’s a low grade 40 coil disaster. Every time you move you hear a coil pop.
So between the uncomfortable bed, too many children, and the fact that we’re still in a state of shock — not much sleep is happening on this front.
To say the least…we’re whipped.
Nine days after someone dies is way too long to go before a funeral. I think sitting Shivah is only a week!
