I didn’t realize everything we have to do in order to get Grammy ready for school. It makes me realize all that my parents had to do in order to get me prepared for my first day.

We finished Grammy’s box which is used to keep her change of clothes in. We bought a monkey picture box at Target and sticky letters so that she could put her name on it.

Then I had to mark her last name in all of her clothes that are going to school. Pack her suntan lotion in there.

Grandma and Grandpa are getting Grammy this cool lunch box:

I ordered these crocs for G’s inside shoes. (Yes, they must have inside, outside, and gym shoes!)

We have orientation Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday will be Graem’s first “real” day of school. I’m starting to get nervous and sad. Nervous because I want everything to be perfect and I hope she meets some new friends.

Sad because I know my little girl is growing up and it won’t be too long before she goes to kindergarten and I’ll have to wave to her as she gets on the big, yellow school bus.
