This morning at 5am I woke up to find that I had what appeared to be a clot of blood. I was so excited and had to wake Margot up instantly to show her my findings.
She was not as amused and I’m sure seeing my disgusting pre-birth was not her idea of a morning greeting.
She went back to bed and I continued to examine and then went to the bathroom a few more times. Each time I wiped I’d get a mucusy red/pink/brownish wormy substance.
Margot went on a geocaching adventure and met up with friends and I went to the farmer’s market with Graem. We met up with J, L, I, and S. The kids played and we ate some great food too.
After the farmer’s market we went to the bakery to pick up 3 bread puddings. Rumor has it if you’re pregnant and nearing your due date if you eat these bread puddings you’ll go into labor.
Then we went to the mall. J and Graem ran asking for gumballs and rides on the machines. I walked like I had a gorilla in my stomach and almost stole this old lady’s walker. (You know the one with the cool basket, seat, and hand brakes?)
After walking up and down the mall and through Target we went to the Target Cafe where we hooked up with an endless cup of Coke and day old popcorn followed by all of the trashy magazines we could get our hands on.
We tried not to neglect the children and filled them up with popcorn and water while they harassed other Target patrons.
While at Target we decided that we should make a stop at the Kentucky Fried Chicken! Two pregnant women, two kids, and a station wagon and it was a done deal….we were off to the town 45 minutes away to pick up a family bucket of chicken, mashed potatoes, orange macaroni, and a gallon of soda!
On the way home we had to pull over at the gas station where I clogged up the toilet and we had to make a run for it as I was running out the door! Eek!
Margot met us back at J&L’s house where we enjoyed tons of fried chicken and other glutoneous food.
Now we’re home and I’m exhausted. I just soaked in Burt’s Bees Therapeutic Salts and we rented National Treasure 2 with Nicholas Cage. More than likely it won’t be too good and I’ll fall asleep within the first few minutes.
Well, it looks like this baby is coming in June after all!

I called the midwife today because I’m exhausted, contracting, and really wanted to see if I could get my membranes stripped.
The midwife told me to meet her at the hospital and she’d see where I was by doing an internal and we could talk about options. I really didn’t have much faith that I’d get admitted.
She did an internal and I was still a “loose 1cm dilated”. However, instead of the baby dropping more….she’s gone back into my pelvis!! The last appointment she was even with my pelvis at a 0 station. This check — she’s -3. That’s right…PDB has decided to retreat back into my belly. AUGH!!!
So the real issue was the sleep deprivation and me being absolutely exhausted and contracting throughout the night. The options were that I could stay in the hospital for a nice nap and get on Nubain or I could go home and do Ambien.
I really wasn’t fond of either of the options. Both cross the placenta and will make the baby sluggish. I don’t want the baby to be at harm in any way and I also want to be able to play prod with her and have her respond back!
So, we talked about it and decided that I should probably get the script filled for Ambien. That way if I go another night or so with little or no sleep then I can take one.
I was also able to get my membranes stripped! I was pretty excited about that and it really didn’t hurt too bad. I winced a little bit but I think overall I’ve gotten pretty used to the internal exams and I’m able to get through the pain.
When I got home I went to the bathroom and I was happy to see quite a bit of pinkish brown blood on the toilet paper!
I tried to take a nap but alas…the contractions kept me awake.
So now we’re sitting around watching television and I hope to get some sleep tonight.

I tried to reschedule my midwife appointment from Tuesday to Monday. I was bummed to hear that they don’t have any open appointments and so I’ve got to keep my Tuesday appointment.
This really has to speed up a little bit. I feel like I’ve been on high alert for three weeks now and very honestly…it’s exhausting!
Each weekend we work hard to make everything *perfect*. Throughout the week the house gets dirty, the laundry piles up, and our grass grows! Which means that every single weekend we have to start all over again in order to build the perfect scenario for me to go into labor!
I feel like I’ve tried so many things to make this kid come out including: mowing our yard, mowing a friends yard, blue cohosh, walking, sex, red raspberry leaf tea, visualization, and massage.
I’m exhausted…it’s nap time.
*yawn*

Over the past few months we’ve been hassled by credit card companies to open up new accounts. We’ve worked hard to establish good credit and now everyone wants a piece.
Of course, we also have a feeling that our information is out there and being sold to banks and credit card companies. What’s scary is that we don’t know how much or how little information is being leaked out. There are definite security issues that are being breeched.
That’s why I’m glad that there are companies like lifelock out there that will actually help protect your private information from banks, creditors, and other people who really shouldn’t have access to your private information!

We had such an amazing time at the Backyardigans Live show in Syracuse. We picked Margot up from work and went straight to Syracuse. We ate at a pretty crappy Chinese restaurant outside of the theatre before the show started.
Grammy was so excited when we walked in and we were instantly drawn to the sales stand that had magic wands, hair clips, and t-shirts.
Here’s a small recap:
Tickets: $105
Chinese Dinner: $15
Gas to and from Syracuse: $25
Magic Fairy Wand: $12
Backyardigans T-Shirt: $18
Seeing your little girl smile from ear to ear: priceless
And by the way…no baby.
