Sickness: Go away!

Well, we’ve almost had this wicked cold for close to a week now. My symptoms have been pretty consistent with the sore throat, green snots, and headache.

Graem has less cold symptoms and she’s actually picked up the vomiting and the “scoots”. Poor kid. She had diarrhea last night and cried and then she’s had it twice today.

If she was feeling better I was actually going to take her to gymnastics class this morning. (Don’t know why…she just sits and watches the other kids anyway!)

Graem has her three year appointment with the pediatrician today. We talked this morning and Margot’s going to take Graem to her appointment because it wouldn’t be wise for me to be exposed to anymore sickness in the Ped’s waiting room until I kick my current cold.

Being sick sucks and I’m ready for us all to be healthy again!

21 weeks!

I’m really starting to get to the point of thinking that everything is going to be alright! It’s hard to believe that in 15-21 weeks we’re going to have a baby here. Wow. It seems a bit overwhelming and there are many things we want to do before the tyke makes her appearance.

Last night I was walking down the commons to meet up with everyone for dinner and I think I had a Braxton Hicks contraction. It was right after my massage so I was probably a little dehydrated too.

As I was walking my belly got hard on the right side. It was like the baby was in a small, hard, ball and I felt pulling. I’ve read that these can start as early as twenty weeks and tend to be obvious when you’re dehydrated.

Of course, I stopped walking during it and tried to massage my belly. It was a bit painful and I really didn’t know what was going on with my belly or my body. After a while it stopped and I was able to move on.

Lesson learned though, I really should carry my water bottle with me and keep drinking at all times! The second lesson that I learned was that I will be asking for mucho drugs upon entering the hospital doors when giving birth.

Me wants.

Are these the cutest new Robeez on the block, or what??

Me wants.

The button that keeps giving.

I’m not talking about that button, my dear friends. (Still on restrictions for another 100 days or so!) I’m talking about my belly button!

Lately, PDB has been kicking the daylights out of me and I’ve been enjoying every second. While I was lying down next to Graem (after fighting her over nap) PDB decided to start having a party in my belly.

Of course, I typically put my hand in my pants and try to locate where she’s tumbling. (I get strange looks when I do this in public?) This time I just so happen to put my finger in my belly button. Lo and behold the kick kicked it out and it was the biggest kick I’ve had to date.

I laughed out loud and then proceeded to do it again. Once again, PDB knocked my finger out of my belly button.

I’m going to have to get Margot to participate in this fun.

“Honey, stick your finger in my belly button.”

Christmas in January!

Just a few minutes ago I received a box from UPS. I was shocked to find the box full of some beautiful maternity clothes - just my size too! Plus, the fashions couldn’t have been more appropriate and I love all of them!

It included awesome blouses, some jeans and pants, and even a nursing bra and shirt!

Thank you to my friend, A, for sharing your goodies with me!!
