A Tale of Two Mamas

Trying to keep someone IN timeout

Mama’s taters’!

We don’t have too many great family recipes that have been passed down from year to year so we realized that it’s important for us to make up our own and then document them so that our kids have recipes of their own to take with them.

One of my specialities (since I’m really not that great of a cook) is my mashed potatoes! For some reason my mashed potatoes are delicious.

Here’s my secret:

(This will feed a family of 4-5, or 3 fatties)

Three handfuls of potatoes - typically about 9 potatoes

A stick of butter

5 fresh garlic cloves chopped

1/2 cup of whole cream

2 tablespoons of sea salt

1 tablespoon of pepper

Wash and skin the potatos. Set them to boil for around 30-45 minutes. Make sure they don’t get too soft but you don’t want them crunch.

Once they are ready make sure to drain them then let them sit for a few minutes.

After they’ve drived off put them in the Eclectrics® Mixer! Now this is the newest Hamilton Beach® mixer on the market. The Hamilton Beach® Mixer has been around forever - but now it’s new and improved and comes with an all new metal stand.

The mixer is the best on the market and it really knows how to fold the potatoes so that they are not only thick but PERFECT! I used to do them in the food processor but that tends to break down the starches and doesn’t whip them to perfection.

The Hamilton Beach® Stand Mixer knows exactly how to perform and you really can’t make my delicious potatos without it!
