A Tale of Two Mamas

Trying to keep someone IN timeout

So hot!

We love spending time outside however if it isn’t the bugs that eat us then we end up sweating because it’s so hot!   In the winter it’s just too darn cold to even think about hanging outside.

Maybe we should think about purchasing a nice outdoor fireplace to keep us warm.   Our friends L&L got one for their wedding shower and it was so great to burn wood in the middle of the winter on their kitchen deck.

In fact, even in the summer it’s perfect for a bonfire and it keeps away the bugs!

Way to go Capella!

Once again, Capella University is in the news again!    They always seem to get some of best press out there for an online university.

Most recently one of their students in the Master’s program has been awarded the FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award.

This is a huge accomplishment and it really is an amazing success for anyone to receive such an amazing award!   Many schools can go months and years without receiving such recognition.   Especially, from such a prestigious organization as the FBI!

Way to go, capella university for only accept and educating the best people out there!  I can’t wait to see what headlines you’ll be in during the next few years to come!

It’s time for some shrinkage.

During the years of infertility that we’ve been through it’s been quite hard on our relationship.   To say the least, we’ve kept the local therapists employed!

The good thing is that we never waited for it to get too bad and our philiosophy has always been to nip things in the bud and keep the doors of communication open.

Feeling a bit better.

This morning after we went for our bloodwork we decided to go for breakfast at Mano’s Diner.    Their food and service never let us down and for a mere $10 we had a delicious breakfast and a takeout breakfast for Dennis too.

Then we went to get the Toyota’s oil changed and to Lowe’s to pick up a battery for our riding mower.

It seemed like we were able to get the errands that would have taken us all day done in about 45 minutes!

We decided to hang out at PRI (The suppose-to-be Dinosaur museum) for the results.

After calling the lab and doctor’s office numerous times and them still not having the results we drove home.    On the way home the doctor gave us a call.

Then after getting the bad news we came home, hung out for a while, had a friend over and left the house again.   This time Dennis and Grammy in tow.

Margot got some very cool glasses that I’m sure are going to look her look much younger and hipper!

Then we did some geocaching and I was dropped off at my friend Jen’s house.

There we talked, cried, laughed, smoke cloves, and had some delicious beer!

It’s amazing what a little bad girl behavior can do for a broken heart.

Of course, it could be the alcohol talking…

I’ll let you know tomorrow.

I could use all of the help I can get…

when it comes to my golf game!

I try to golf as much as I can, however, I’ve only gone once over the past two years.    The last time I did wasn’t too bad and I only lost seven or so balls.

One thing that would really help is if I would keep track of my score so that I could figure out my handicap for future games.

If I played golf more I would probably invest in the golf handicap software.

You can do it right online and it’s a piece of cake.   NetHandicap.com allows you to save your information so that each time you plug your games numbers in you have your past history available.

Golf has never been easier!   Especially, when you have get a few free strokes as a handicap!
