Trying to keep someone IN timeout

We *heart* our credit cards!

When we were in college we were somewhat irresponsible when it came to spending money and racking up debt on our credit cards.   Who would have known how two college students would be able to eat out and travel as much as we did!

After paying that off over the years we have been able to rebuild our credit and really seek out credit cards that were offering the best interest rates and offers.

Most recently we have been able to put our fertility charges on a 0% card til January and figured that we would put that money in a money making account and just make the monthly payment from the interest accrued.

The best thing to do when looking for the perfect card is to compare credit cards that you are eligible for.   Sometimes cards that offer incentives only do so for a limited time and then the card isn’t that appealing.   Read all of the fine print and make sure that you know what the terms and conditions are before signing up for a card.

Our favorite cards to this day are the ones that offer 0% balance transfers!  CardGuide.co.uk can help you find the card that is right for you.    They have a great guide to credit cards and you can actually see the many different cards available to you through their website.

Borders!

Well, I’m hosting office hours at my Borders’ office today.   Fully equipped with the smell of fresh coffee, comfy couches, and free internet service!

I dropped Grammy off this morning a little late because I had a heck of a time leaving the house.   The phone kept ringing off of the hook and right as I’m getting ready to leave I notice that the dog peed on the bed over the past few days.    So I had to strip the sheets and throw them in the laundry.

Hopefully, I can stay busy here at Borders and there won’t be too many interuptions during lunchtime!

Whatcha looking for?

Most recently we’ve been trying to work through our finances by juggling money around a bit.   We had finally paid off all of our previous infertility debt only to be hit again with a new infertility $20,000!

We were also able to find out through the bank that our credit was stellar which allowed us to get great rates on our home equity line of credit.   I was also able to negotiate with one of our credit cards to get us 0% interest on the card til January 2008!

Not everyone is as lucky as us when it comes to credit.   There are Credit Cards For People With Bad Credit!   CreditCardSearchEngine.com allows you to look at competing credit card companies and decide what’s best for your financial situation.

Take me away!

We keep going back and forth on vacation destinations.   I think it’d be great to do a Disney vacation.    However, one of my friends just got back from Orlando and said that Graem should really be a few years older so that she can enjoy most of the kiddie rides.

Orlando Vacation Rentals are pretty easy to find and we’d want a nice places with a pool and close to all of the action!

Whether we’re looking for vacation rentals in Orlando or Maui SkyAuction.com offers some great rentals by the week.   In fact, you can go directly on their website and choose a destination and month of travel and the website instantly shows you all of the open housing options.

Out of the house.

We decided to leave the house this morning and get some fresh air.   It was raining when left and by the time we were back home it had cleared up.

We went to Movie Gallery and I rented Grammy “Aladdin”.   I figured it was one of my favorites when I was a kid and I wanted to rent it for $1.00 before buying it for her.   Then we went to the Family Dollar.   This is quite the store.   Not sure why they call it Family Dollar because everything seems to be priced more than $1!

We ended up getting some cool Backyardigans cups that have straws and some sparkle nail polish.  (Don’t give me hell for this!)

Grammy picked out the Pink, Purple, and Clear sparkle polish and this afternoon we will be painting our fingernails.

After shopping and the video store we went to the library.   We read a few books there, Grammy played “The Cat in the Hat” game and read the book on the computer, and we checked three books out.

Now, it’s nap time and I think we’ll more than likely do our fingernails when we wake up!
