We were scared silly a few weeks ago when Graem spilled a whole bottle of water onto our laptop computer. Were were pretty sure that all over her baby pictures, website information, and other important information was going to be wiped out.
Since then we’ve purchased a new laptop and even an external backup system. But that doesn’t protect us from a burgular or even a house fire. It’s sad to think that all of the pictures of our precious daughter would be non-existent.
That’s why we’re looking at online backup. IDrive.com offers some great backup programs for all of your storage needs. They offer unlimited storage for $4.95/month.

That’s a lot cheaper, safer, and easier than saving everything to a disk monthly and keeping it in a safe deposit box at the bank!

We have gone back and forth on what car/minivan and if we’re going to buy new or used. Living in upstate New York we really don’t have that many options as far as used cars. The local car dealers all have the same worn cars that have been through hellish winters and years of salt and sand.
That’s why we’re more than likely going to have to look elsewhere if we are interested in a used minivan. Who knows we might even have to look at used cars for sale in Chicago! Chicago Public Auto Auctions offer many different types of cars in pretty good condition.
The best thing about the auctions is that the cars are really priced to move. This is the place where dealerships go to buy their used cars and receive the great savings.
Who knows…after all is said and done, it might be worth the drive or flight to Chicago to pick up our new to us minivan!

Well, I just got a call from one of my old employees. She’s pregnant. Of course, she knows that we’ve been trying and had a miscarriage and one of her first questions was how we were doing and how the baby making was going.
Then I asked how she was doing and she said “we’re pregnant.”
Augh. I must say that it leaves a terribly sour taste in my mouth that I haven’t talked to her in months and she calls to deliver the news.
Do some people just not get it or am I being way too sensitive?

We’ve been talking for some time about taking Grammy to Disney in Orlando, Florida. In fact, we just talked about it again the other night. We can’t wait til she’s old enough to enjoy the rides and remember the great experience.
Margot and I went about six years ago and had such a great time. You should have seen the two of us going on all of the fun rides. Now we’ll have an excuse to go on “It’s a small world” ride more than once!! You can check out Disney News.
More than likely we would choose to stay in Orlando Vacation Rentals. It just makes sense when you have a family, don’t do the night life, and tend to be in bed by 9:00pm! The nice thing about rentals is that you can have a full kitchen and prepare meals instead of going out to eat every meal while on vacation.
