A Tale of Two Mamas

Trying to keep someone IN timeout

SO GLAD…

to be back in our small, comfy, CLEAN house.   It’s been a long adventure and I feel like I’ve been away from home for months!   When we drove into the driveway I was able to actually relax and feel at home.

We were talking in the car about how we really need to just do a “fun trip”.   Maybe even a three day weekend to Toronto.  Just the three of us.   No family, no infertility treatments, no work trips.   We just want to be able to go to a hotel enjoy ourselves and stay on our own schedule.

I think what happens is time after time we say we want to do things…and then just never end up doing it.   And of course we never plan things because our lives are so dependant on my cycle and of course now Margot’s dad’s health.

I’ll start looking at weekends and maybe by the end of the week we can figure out *something*.   We deserve it!

Leaving New York City!

After a long weekend we are heading out in the next few minutes.   It’s been fun - but I’m ready to sleep in my own bed and be in my own house.   There’s something to be said about being “home”!

Of course, the other thing is getting Grammy back on a schedule where she takes a nap and then is a happy baby!   The past few days have been hard on her because she’s totally out of her routine and she’s extremely overstimulated.

Poor baby.

Podcastin’

I’ve never done much in terms of Podcasting but I have friends and even Margot’s brother is an avid Podcaster!

To get free podcasting hosting and bandwidth you can check out MyPodCast.    Who knows, maybe I’ll go there and figure out how all this ipod stuff works.    Then it might be another one of my addictions.

Maybe, on the otherhand, I won’t check it out.

NO MORE CHINESE FOOD - EVER.

This weekend starting with Friday night we have had Chinese food.   I overordered at the Chinese restaurant and we have been trying to make headway with the leftovers.

It’s been tedious at best and this afternoon when I thought we’d be getting a break - we went for Chinese Dim Sum followed by dinner tonight of Chinese noodles and fish.

AUGH.   I never want to eat Chinese food again.   Except for maybe tomorrow lunch.

I love trash talk!

I think I just fried my brain by reading “Us Weekly” and “Ok!”.   They are the trashy magazines that you see at the checkout stand read for a few minutes and then don’t bother spend $1.99 on.

Well, Margot’s dad has both of them - here for my reading entertainment.

Of course there was tons of gossip about Paris Hilton and her hanging out with Brittany.  They also showed pictures of Paris dressed in some ugly clothes.

Take a look at these pictures of Perez Hilton!

You sure to get an earful/eyeful at the website plus all of the newest up to date info on all of the celeb gossip out there!  Jokeroo offers a great website full of video and audio, pictures, games, greeting cards, and an online community.   I like being able to navigate through the site easily and find what I’m looking for - typically right on the front page!

The greeting cards are pretty funny and the perfect idea for Valentine’s Day!
