Does Grammy look like me?
A pic of me and Den, circa 1979:

An earlier pic of me, around age two:

Grammy is almost totally potty-trained, and Shawna and Grammy can take all the credit! I say almost only to avoid jinxing myself, as I’m sure there will be setbacks from time to time. They told Shawna at school today that Grammy is the only one in panties, and the only one not peeing in a diaper!
As I write, Grammy is trying to sit on her toy cow–her 3″ tall toy cow.
I don’t know what I’d do without it! God forbid…I might actually have to get out a pen and paper and write someone or even have to make a phone call.
I love seeing an old friend or relative write. It’s become the main mode of communication these days. Email marketing is one of the most profitable and effective forms of communication too!
E – excited - I get excited when I see that I have an email from someone who hasn’t written in a while.
M – mystified at how email works?!?!?
A – always delete spam mail and NEVER send forwards!
I – interesting – sometimes I get things that are really interesting
L – laughter – although I hate spam mail…I must admit that some of the forwards I receive are pretty funny

Today I taught and I have the biggest headache! Not from the kids of course. (Or at least I don’t think.) Maybe it was from the 3 slices of pizza that I had for lunch or perhaps some of the paint fumes that were lingering!
All in all — it was a good day.
Dropoff with Graem went well and she ran right in. This afternoon she was a bit fussy and just wanted milk but I was able to bribe her to be good with some candy!
We used to go all of the time to the “Word of Mouth” dinners. It’s a huge dinner with amazing food in a little storefront space in Trumansburg. The thing is - it’s invite only and typically after the email is sent out the dinners are filled within 10 minutes.
Now there’s something similiar and it sounds AWESOME. Zingara Cucina offers dinners at random locations and are only open during the warmer months. Reservations are required and they are actually booked through 2008! The whole idea is to get a group of people together to enjoy the great food, new friends, and new places!
The destination and menus change weekly and so you never know where it will be or what you can eat.
What is guaranteed is that you’ll have a great time and walk away totally satisfied!
