A Tale of Two Mamas

Trying to keep someone IN timeout

Archive for 2006

It’s over.

We finished the ceremony and it was as nice as it could be. Bud came out and said some words and some scripture readings.

He then asked us to put the dirt on the remains and that’s when I lost it. I just couldn’t do it. So Dennis and Lydia stepped in and did that part. We then put three stones over the mound and it’s nice to know that it’s under the tree and right next to Grammy’s swing.

I think it could be comforting in days, months, and years to come. I certainly don’t want to forget this - but it’s nice not to have a constant reminder of it either.

Sproose it up!

So most people with a marketing degree or marketing background have heard the term “get the biggest bang for your buck”. The whole idea behind marketing an idea is to spend the least amount of money and get the most exposure available.

Sproose home page helps in achieving this goal! They help advertisers choose the perfect websites or blogs that will cater directly to the product that they are trying to market. Sproose actually allows the advertiser to rank certain webpages and then choose from those sites to find keywords and other substance that might help with marketing their product.

The reality is - when you’re advertising a business - in the long run it costs to get professional advise and to actually spend a little bit more to make sure that your efforts and money are not going unnoticed!

There are tons of marketing schemes out there and very easy to spend your money on ineffective marketing plans. Take the time, do the research, and go to an unbiased marketing source to help you figure out the best marketing method for you and your organization.

I miss…

Waking up at 2am, 4:15am, and 6am respectively to go to the bathroom.

I miss being uncomfortable when I go to sleep tonight because my tummy is starting to get bigger and more sensitive.

This morning I woke up at 5am and instantly felt loss because I’m not having any of the old “symptoms” that I’m used to:   tiredness, constant peeing, and sleeping on my side.

Congrats to PPP!

Despite all of the chaos today I did take a moment to read the email I received from my beloved Pay Per Post.   It appears that they have acquired a new company:   Performancing Metrics and Performancing Exchange.

I’m really glad to see Pay Per Post doing so well because God knows I don’t want to see another dot com go down the tubes.   Not to mention, I’m making some big bucks from PPP and I’d hate to lose that income source!

As far as blog advertising goes I think Pay Per Post is really a great idea.   Of course, some companies seem to really get the idea behind demanding an effective post and others are clueless!   I think it’s a good idea to require at least a PR1 or so..but it’s ridiculous to require more than a PR4!!    These of course are referring to a page rank that google places on each website.

What’s bizarre is that even though we get tons of viewers on our website (today we had 140) our page rank is still zero!   So I’m not sure the system really works all that well!

The great thing about doing blog advertising is that you can really be selective about the blogs that you want to market to.   You can market to specific blogs that you know will bring in certain readers.

This is advertising for the 21st century!

The great thing about the new companies that PPP acquired is that it works hand in hand with PPP advertisers and gives them tools as well as statistics that will help advertisers make better marketing decisions.   I would like to see the two companies combine forces to provide advertisers with a better understanding of what PPP is all about - how happy the people who blog for PPP are, and how effective our blogs are in getting a certain point across to our readers.

PPP, when are you going to go public?!?!   I’m sure it’s just a matter of time!

Ready for bed after a long day.

I’m so exhausted even though I took a nap today and actually started feeling better and rested.

It’s just hard to believe that last night I was going to sleep as a pregnant woman with a baby inside and tonight I’m not.    I’m sure the worst is over but I can’t help but feel sad still and I’m sure that will take a while to work through.

It’s amazing how much you can love someone/thing after not meeting them, knowing them, or even feeling them.

I’m so ready to go to bed after a very, very, long day.
