I remember learning this in high school, when we learned to rappell and rock climb.  This web site has the best knot illustrations for a number of knots, including the Figure 8 knot often used in climbing.  While I haven’t been climbing in oh, 13+ years, recent fishing endeavors (okay, so last year isn’t really recent) have required me to learn some new knots.  Of course, my mind being what it is, I can’t remember a single one.
