I suppose it’s a bit late for the welcome home post, but we jumped right back into life when we touched ground. We got back in around midday on Tuesday, which meant back to work for me on Wednesday.
Grammy did great on both flights, we didn’t even sedate her this time! She slept through the entire first flight (we left LV at 11 PM PST), while Shawna and I wished we could. I’ve decided that airline seats are modern torture that you pay for. Instead of making that little silver button on the armrests “recline” your seat 0.2 degrees, the airlines should use the button to inject sedatives directly into your spinal column. And then when you have to “return your seats to the full upright position,” you would instead receive another injection to awaken, fully refreshed and unaware of the decubitus ulcers that developed in-flight.
Graem and Shawna are still on west coast time: Graem has been staying up until 10:30 or 11:00 at night, and waking up at 11 in the morning!
We’ve been catching up with our girls, both at the softball games and over this weekend. It’s good to be home!
The Vegas photos are posted.
