Today was our first day without a doctor’s visit. We had the egg retrieval yesterday–we got 4 eggs, 3 of which had polar bodies that could be found and tested. We were a bit disappointed overall, but I guess all it takes is one. I’m glad to be done with it.
Graem finally turned the corner on being demon baby–she’s gotten over her cold, and the teething seems to have ceased. In the aftermath, we have left a trail of vomit throughout Las Vegas–in the pool, in our room, in restaurants. Shawna’s also gotten better, she has a voice now. On one hand, we were bummed about not getting home, but we’re also glad to be here a couple extra days without doctor’s visits, and without sickness in the family.
We had planned on changing our flights to leave Friday night, but it seems that the airlines have changed their policy to require not only the $75-100 fee, but also the price difference between the original ticket, and the current market value of the ticket, which would have been $700 per ticket!!! I guess this is how they make up for years of dry, crappy complimentary sandwiches, in spite of the fact they now charge $5 for them!
Grammy has been talking like a champ this trip–in just the last couple of days she learned to see peas (or peace), cheese, and mommy. She’s still obsessed with the boo-boo on her leg, which has provided hours of entertainment.
Oh–we finally updated photos.
