Graem’s favorite pastime seems to be falling on her head lately. She’s learned to open doors in our house, due in part to our short-sighted, though well-intentioned idea to put in ADA-accessible (”aging in place”) door handles on all our doors. I would not recommend these to any soon-t0-be parents! Her most recent adventure was down the basement stairs, which was cut short by the concrete block pillar on the side of the stairs.
Grammy can’t seem to get enough of climbing and jumping, onto chairs, the coffee table, her high chair, the rocking chair–you name it, she’s conquered it.
Her favorite book is now Hop on Pop!, which she calls Pop-Pop-Pop when she wants either of us to read it for the hundredth time of the day. She loves the actual Hop on Pop verse, followed by Stop! You must not hop on Pop!
We are quite proud of her Grammy’s knowledge of body parts: she is learning leg, heel, belly button, head, hair, tongue and nipples. Her words seem to come and go; she doesn’t really say cat, hot, shoe or sock any more. She says pop-pop-pop, or sometimes p-AAAAAH-P, for her favorite book. She says hat, and where is it?
