It only took me about 3 weeks, but I uploaded some video. Sorry to all the non-broadband users out there, I will need to figure out the resolution thing.
We had to upgrade our carseats yesterday–Graem was illegal in the baby bucket! Now I’ll have to figure out how to manage her without the bucket. I used to be able to take her to the grocery and get my haircut and just leave her in it, but now I would have to leave her on the floor at the salon, and that won’t quite work….
Uncle Dennis sent us a sweet little Mother’s Day gift yesterday, it was such a wonderful surprise! Of course we plowed through the chocolate truffles in about 3.9 seconds, and Graem drooled all over the little doll. We loved it! We think Graem will be taking us out for dim sum on Sunday, but she hasn’t confirmed our reservations.
It’s supposed to be fabulous this weekend, so we might head out for a little road trip. Shawna wants to go to the Windmill, an Amish/Mennonite farm & craft market. It looks like a tourist trap (since when was Auntie Anne Amish??), but should be fun nonetheless. Besides, we want to go to the Pierogie Palace and fill up on carbs.
I know I sound like a broken record, but being a mom is the most amazing experience in the world. It really makes me so happy, I stare at Graem every night and tear up and say to Shawna, “Isn’t she so amazing? I love her so much.” I love it when she flashes smiles or even giggles in her sleep, it makes me wonder what she’s dreaming about. I also think of it as a small success as parents that she has something to smile about.
