This is what I keep thinking of…
when I imagine Emmy.

My downstairs hurts already.
We’re finding that with Margot being on maternity leave this summer we are going to try to pack in all of the fun and travel that we can!
When are we going to have another time where we’re both off for eight weeks with nothing to do and two small kids?
We’ve already booked our trip to Houston and we’ll be leaving June 22nd and coming back June 28th. We’re staying with my parents and trying to figure out what type of fun kid things there are to do in Houston.
When we get back from Houston we’re probably going to make a trip to New York to see Margot’s family. We’re always looking for things to do in New York!
Since we’re in Brooklyn it can take a pretty hefty subway trip or an hour drive plus the price of parking to go into the fun parts of the city.
That’s why I’m all for checking out one of the many sightseeing tours that is offered by Trusted Tours & Attractions!
I think we should have looked here when we were trying to gather Things to do in Las Vegas!
Trusted Tours & Attractions have a great newsletter and right now you can enter to win a $150 iTunes gift card. Offer ends Saturday, May 31st, 2008.

Okay, I’ve been waiting and had almost no sign of labor over the past few days!
Yesterday, Grammy and I went to the mall and walked the whole thing up and down. Of course Graem strolled in her Phil and Ted’s stroller and I walked.
I had some sharp pains down under but nothing major and even the past few days I haven’t had many contractions at all.
I’m starting to think that maybe the baby’s head is too big for my pelvis? Because at this point I would have thought that she might have dropped more and I should be feeling pain.
At different parts of the day my belly seems lower. When I wake up I have some pain in the pelvic region and many times my belly has been pretty high. In the evening I’m realizing that the belly looks like it has dropped a bit. Maybe the muscles are just tired?
I have my next midwife appointment Monday. I ended up rescheduling the Tuesday appointment because I wanted to go with the midwife that was most likely to have sympathy on me and might even help with some induction routines if my body looks ready!
Margot told me this morning that since I emptied the dishwasher and plan on vacuuming the house she thinks it’s going to happen this weekend.
Tuesday is the full moon and my best friend, Alex, is coming in this Wednesday from Los Angeles - so it’d be great if I could start laboring Tuesday and baby gets here Wednesday afternoon?
I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you wanna go,
And if you’re faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin’ till you find the window,
If it’s cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile.
But more than anything, more than anything…
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you’re out there getting where you’re getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
I hope you never look back, but you never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God’s grace, in every mistake,
And always give more than you take.
But More than anything, yeah, more than anything…
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you’re out there getting where you’re getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish. Yeah.
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you’re out there getting where you’re getting to,

Well, it’s official. We’ve booked our airline tickets to Houston and we’ll be leaving from Syracuse June 22nd. We’ll be in Houston until June 28th.
One thing that we realized is that there’s no way that my mom, dad, Margot, two kids, and me are going to fit in one car! So we’ve started searching for minivan rentals.
Who would have thought that in order to rent a car you’d have to do so much shopping around to find the best deals?!?!
Advantage.com offers a really good website where you can search time, date, and place to pick up the car.
Plus, I love the fact that they are dedicated to going 100% green!
